Does this winch fit the Can-Am Defender Factory Cab?

No. This Ready-Fit Winch is not compatible with Factory Cab models. It fits open-cab Defender HD8 variants from 2020–2021 only.

Do I need any additional parts or tools to install this winch?

No additional parts are required. The kit ships fully assembled and pre-wired with all hardware included. Basic hand tools are all that's needed for installation.

What is the difference between the 4500 lb. and 6000 lb. options?

Both use the same Black Ops Winch platform and include identical hardware. The 6000 lb. variant offers greater pulling capacity for heavier recovery situations and steeper terrain.

Is the winch compatible with a four-seater Defender?

Yes. The extended wiring and waterproof solenoid are long enough to accommodate four-seater Defender MAX models listed in the fitment guide above.

What rope does this winch use?

It comes with 50 ft. of synthetic rope, which is lighter and safer than steel cable — it won't store energy under tension and is easier to handle if it breaks.
