Keep riding all winter long with the SuperATV Cab Heater for the Can-Am Defender HD9. This engine coolant-powered heater draws heat directly from your coolant lines — just like a factory car heater — to deliver powerful, consistent warmth to your cab. Available in front seat, rear seat, and full front & rear configurations, with optional grille cover and flow valve/idle pump upgrades.
Fits Can-Am Defender HD9 models without a factory HVAC system:
Quick-Start Flow Valve: Diverts coolant to your heater core at low engine temps so you get warm air twice as fast. Ideal for cold-start riding.
Idle Pump: Circulates coolant even at idle so the heater works when you're stopped or moving slowly.
Grille Cover: Blocks cold air flowing over your radiator to raise coolant temps faster. Made from PVC-backed polyester. For use in temperatures below freezing only — do not use above 32°F or engine overheating may occur.
Second-Row Heater: Keeps rear passengers warm. Mounts in front of the middle seat with its own adjustable temperature and fan controls. Note: may limit center-rear passenger legroom.
The included defrost vent and hoses route through your dash for a clean, factory-style look. Keeps your windshield free of snow, ice, and fog while you drive.
Drilling through plastic is required. All necessary drill bits, hoses, and Defender-specific mounting hardware are included. Step-by-step instructions are provided.

Yes. This kit fits both standard and MAX HD9 Defender models from 2022 and newer that do not have a factory HVAC system. Select the appropriate heater position (Front, Rear, or Front & Rear) when ordering.
No. The heater draws heat from your engine coolant lines, not from the battery. It only uses 3.4 amps at 13.7 volts for the fan — minimal electrical draw.
The flow valve diverts coolant to the heater core at low engine temperatures, so you get warm air much faster after startup. It's especially useful in very cold climates or when you need heat quickly. It is optional but highly recommended for cold-weather riding.
No. The grille cover is designed for use in temperatures below freezing (32°F / 0°C) only. Using it in warmer temperatures will cause your engine to overheat.
The second-row heater mounts in front of the middle rear seat. It may limit space for the center-rear passenger. It is compatible with Defender MAX models that have a rear seating row.
Yes, drilling through plastic is required. All necessary drill bits, mounting hardware, hoses, and instructions are included in the kit.
